The complex is divided into several key zones, each reflecting different historical eras:
Flag Tower (Cột cờ Hà Nội):
A symbol of the city, built in 1812. You can climb to the top via a spiral staircase.
Doan Mon Gate:
The main entrance with ancient brickwork.
Kinh Thien Palace:
Foundation ruins featuring unique 1467 stone dragons.
Bunker D67:
A deep 1960s command post with preserved communication equipment.
Archaeological excavations:
Located at 18 Hoang Dieu Street, showcasing layers of history from ancient kingdoms to the colonial era.
The most favorable time to visit is October–April, when temperatures stay within 17–25°C with low humidity. It is recommended to arrive at opening time at 8:00 AM to avoid the heat and tourist crowds.
