History
The Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum is a vital cultural site opened on May 5, 2014. The 22,000-square-meter building is designed in the shape of a truncated cone resembling the camouflage net of a military helmet, emphasizing the fighting spirit of the era. This place is a must-visit for anyone wishing to immerse themselves in the history of resistance and see one of the largest military panoramas in the world.

What you need to know
The museum's collection features over 7,000 artifacts, including artillery pieces, personal belongings of campaign participants such as Ma Van Thanh's bicycle and Trinh Dinh Bam's wheelbarrow, which were used to transport supplies.
The museum's greatest pride is the incredible 360-degree panoramic painting. Measuring 132 by 20.5 meters, the canvas features 4,500 characters and details events from November 1953 to May 7, 1954. The painting is divided into four thematic parts: mobilization, preparations, battle, and triumphant victory.
The exhibition is logically divided into key historical stages: from the beginning of the resistance war to the international impact of the victory at Dien Bien Phu.
