What you need to know
Keo Leng Cave was recognized as a national historical monument in 1993, when the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam confirmed its scientific value. Archaeological research conducted during the same period uncovered fossilized remains of humans and animals, proving a long history of human habitation in this region.
Geomorphologically, the cave is a classic example of limestone karst with unique speleothems and formations that reflect the geological past of Northern Vietnam. It is part of a system of approximately two hundred caves in the geopark, making the region a vital center for studying human history and natural processes.
