About the place

What you need to know

Bàu Sen is located in Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district. It is the remnant of a large body of water divided into two parts: the small lake (Bàu Ông) and the large lake (Bàu Bà). The area of the large lake reaches 70 hectares, and its depth ranges from 5 to 19 meters.

The lotus, a symbol of Buddhism and the national flower of Vietnam, completely covers the lake from July to September. The flowers open at dawn and close at sunset. In addition to aesthetic enjoyment, the lake offers opportunities for fishing (carp, catfish, and snakehead fish are found here) and boat rides. The area around the lake is ideal for extreme sports, including ATV riding on the dunes and sandboarding.
