Fairy Stream

Fairy Stream originates from underground waters beneath the sand dunes and stretches for 1.8 km before flowing into the sea. The water and canyon walls owe their characteristic color to iron minerals in the clay rocks. The local sand is up to 9,000 years old, while the light gray rock outcrops are over 204,000 years old.

The route passes through a canyon where wind and water have created whimsical erosion forms. The surroundings are complemented by bamboo groves, palms, and pandan bushes. It is recommended to walk upstream from the road — this way the landscapes reveal themselves gradually, becoming more and more breathtaking.
