The Po Klong Garai Towers are a unique architectural monument of the ancient Champa civilization, located on Trau Hill in Phan Rang-Thap Cham. Built in honor of the legendary king, these structures serve not only as a historical site but also as an active venue for religious rituals, where the traditions of an ancient people come alive to this day.

What you need to know
The complex was erected in honor of King Po Klong Garai, revered as a wise ruler and protector of agriculture. Three towers have survived to this day: the main tower, the gate tower, and the fire tower. The uniqueness of the construction lies in the use of reddish-brown bricks bonded with a mysterious plant-based compound that has ensured the structures' durability for over 700 years.
The walls of the towers feature elaborate carved reliefs depicting Cham mythology, and a stone sculpture of Shiva is installed above the entrance to the main tower. Inside, visitors can see a polished altar and fertility symbols. Today, the complex is vibrant with life: regular ceremonies and the annual ritual at the beginning of the dry season are held here, accompanied by traditional dances and flute music.
