It is famous not only for its impressive depth (up to 35 meters) and rich biodiversity, but also for its long history spanning about 200 million years of geological transformation in the region.

What you need to know
The name "Ba Bể" translates from the Tày language as "three lakes". It is a site of global significance (Ramsar Convention) and an important national landscape monument. The park's ecosystem includes 650 plant species and hundreds of animal species, including the rare François' langur.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the Tày culture by staying in traditional wooden stilt houses in the villages of Pac Ngoi, Ban Cam, or Bo Lu. Outdoor activities include kayaking, SUP boarding, exploring caves (Puong, Tien), and visiting the picturesque Dau Dang Waterfall.
The dry season is ideal for boat trips, jungle trekking, and cave exploration.
