The Thanh Toan Covered Bridge is a gem of rural Vietnamese architecture, located in Thanh Thuy Chan village. Built in 1776 with funds provided by benefactress Tran Thi Dao, the bridge represents a rare type of structure known as "thượng gia hạ kiều" (house above, bridge below). This place offers a chance to experience the authentic atmosphere of a traditional Vietnamese village and learn more about the culture of the Nguyen Dynasty.

What you need to know
The bridge has been recognized as a national cultural heritage of Vietnam since 1990. Its 16.85-meter-long structure rests on ironwood pillars and is topped with a traditional ceramic roof adorned with dragon motifs.
What to see:
The local altar dedicated to Tran Thi Dao, the woman who gifted the bridge to the village.
The interior with wooden benches where locals still rest today.
The ceramic inlay work crafted in the Hue style.
If you visit on the full moon day of the eighth lunar month, you can witness memorial processions and traditional folk games such as rice pounding and tug-of-war.
