What you need to know
The Phương Mai Dunes rise to a height of 20 to 100 meters above sea level. Their golden and pale sands create a striking contrast with the green casuarina pine trees and the modern infrastructure of nearby wind turbines.
What to see: The summits offer panoramic views of the Nhơn Hội Economic Zone, the Thị Nại Lagoon, and the city of Quy Nhơn itself. The place is popular among photography enthusiasts, especially during the golden hours at sunrise and sunset. You can also try sandboarding here—sliding down the steep sandy slopes on a board.
Dry season with warm weather. It is recommended to visit early in the morning (before 10:00 AM) or after 4:00 PM to avoid the intense heat and enjoy soft light for photography.
