What you need to know
The pagoda was founded in 1715 by a Chinese merchant, or according to other sources, by the monk Duc Son. Over the centuries, the temple has been repeatedly restored by local masters.
The main highlight of the complex, which has become a landmark for the entire city, is the 17-meter Buddha statue erected here in 1972. Today it is not only a popular tourist destination, but also an active center of the region's spiritual life.
The dry season is ideal for walking and visiting the city's architectural landmarks.
