What you need to know
Quang Duc Pagoda was founded by Most Venerable Thich Buu Lam. Following extensive renovations in 2006, the temple acquired its current majestic appearance. The pagoda's architecture strictly follows Northern Buddhist canons.
The main highlight of the interior is a monumental golden statue of a seated Buddha, surrounded by fresh flowers, which fills the hall with an atmosphere of peace. Special attention should be paid to the wooden decorative elements and doors, adorned with delicate hand-carvings. The area around the pagoda is steeped in greenery, providing a pleasant setting for leisurely contemplation. This is an active spiritual center where locals gather for worship and Dharma lectures.
