Cai Rang Floating Market is the heart of commercial life in the Mekong Delta, with a history dating back to the early 20th century. In 2016, this unique place was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Vietnam. Every day, hundreds of "ghe bau" boats gather here, offering tourists a chance to immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of waterborne trade, where deals are made on trust and the assortment of goods is visible from afar thanks to the "bẹo" tradition — long bamboo poles.

Cai Rang Market comes to life at night, reaching peak activity by 6–7 AM. The main feature of local life is not only the wholesale trade of fruits and vegetables, but also a full-fledged water infrastructure: from motor repair shops to hair salons and floating cafes. Be sure to try traditional soup or noodles from "Aunt Bay Tuoi"'s boat — a landmark spot for every visitor. A visit to the market should be combined with a trip to fruit orchards or a tour of traditional rice noodle and coconut candy factories.
The dry season provides the most comfortable conditions. In April, the market is particularly picturesque, and ahead of Tet (Lunar New Year), it fills with festive flower trade. Recommended arrival time: 5:30 — 7:00 AM.
