What you need to know
Quang Hanh Cave is the longest cave in the Ha Long Bay region. It received its second name—the "tunnel cave"—from French travelers because of its elongated shape and the massive size of its underground passage.
Inside, the cave literally comes alive thanks to a well-thought-out electric lighting system: flashlight beams highlight ancient stalactites hanging from the vaults and create a mysterious play of light and shadow on the bizarre stone formations. One of the main features of the visit is the tour format: all movement inside the cave takes place on special boats, making the tour comfortable and accessible for every tourist.
This is the best time to visit the bay: the weather is stable, with good visibility and no monsoon rains.
