Ti Top Island is one of the most iconic attractions in Ha Long Bay. Named after the Soviet cosmonaut Gherman Titov, who visited the site in 1962 alongside Ho Chi Minh, today the island is a popular stop on cruise itineraries. It is famous for its cozy crescent-shaped beach and breathtaking views from the cliff top.

History and features
The island received its current name on January 22, 1962, when President Ho Chi Minh presented it to cosmonaut Gherman Titov. Prior to that, the island was known as Site No. 46 or 48, as well as Cat Nang.
Today, it is a rocky elevation covering 2.3 hectares, at the base of which lies a clean sandy beach with clear water. The tourist infrastructure includes a 65-meter pier and a viewpoint at the top of the mountain. To enjoy panoramic views of Ha Long's limestone islands, visitors need to climb about 300 steps. In 2015, a majestic monument to Gherman Titov, made of green stone, was erected on the island.
The dry season offers the most comfortable temperatures for boat trips and climbing to the viewpoint.
