What you need to know
The well was built from laterite in the 18th century and originally served as an important part of the temple complex's architecture. By the end of the 20th century, the site had fallen into disrepair; however, thanks to a restoration project carried out over a year, the monument's historical appearance was successfully restored.
Special attention should be paid to the physical dimensions of the structure: the well's diameter is an impressive 10 meters. The walls are lined with laterite, a stone that was the traditional building material for the region at that time. Today, the well has lost its utilitarian function and serves as a valuable decorative element of the temple ensemble.
