Ecotourism
Chu Mom Ray National Park is the only park in Vietnam that shares a border with two countries simultaneously: Laos and Cambodia. Together with Virachey National Park (Cambodia) and the Xe Pian / Dong Ampham complex (or Southern Annamites / East Hoang Son), it forms a vast transboundary forest area of about 700,000 hectares, playing a crucial role in preserving Indochina's biodiversity.

What you need to know
The park was established in 2002 and includes both mountainous evergreen forests and the vast Ia Book valley with Vietnam's largest grassland fields (over 9,000 ha). The park's geography is diverse: the terrain gently slopes from east to west, dropping from 1,773 m down to 200 m.
Biodiversity: It is a natural treasure trove inhabited by over 1,100 species of vascular plants (including two endemic orchids) and hundreds of fauna species. Here you can find rare animals such as Asian elephants, gaur, banteng, as well as Germain's peacock-pheasant and the black-crowned laughingthrush.
History and Threats: The park's territory was deeply affected during the Vietnam War due to bombings and the use of defoliants. Today, the park combats the impacts of poaching, illegal logging, and fires while maintaining its significance as an ASEAN Heritage Site.
The dry season is the most favorable time to visit the park and explore its ecosystems.
