Chu Dang Ya Volcano is a majestic extinct volcano located in Chu Dang Ya commune, Chu Pah district. This place attracts travelers with its unique geological structure and picturesque landscapes: the volcano crater, formed thousands of years ago, has turned into an incredibly fertile valley where local farmers cultivate a variety of crops.

What you need to know
The volcano is a complex of three small craters combined into a single basin with a diameter of about 600 meters. The last eruption occurred about 10,000 years ago. Today, this place is famous for its "patchwork" fields of corn and sweet potatoes, as well as seasonal blooming: in mid-November, golden wild sunflowers bloom here, and from July to October, the slopes are decorated with red canna flowers.
Visitors can descend directly into the crater via a short trail, walk around it on a circular path taking about 40 minutes, and explore rare porous igneous rocks.
The dry season is the ideal time to visit. We especially recommend mid-November, when the volcano is covered with a "carpet" of yellow sunflowers.
