Cat Cat Village is an authentic settlement of the Black Hmong ethnic group, founded in the 19th century. Situated at an altitude of 1,200 meters in the Muong Hoa Valley, the village attracts travelers with its traditional culture, colorful houses, and stunning views of rice terraces. What you need to know
Cat Cat is located just 2.5–3 km from the center of Sapa. The walking route through the village covers about 3 km and includes visits to the Tien Sa Waterfall, suspension bridges, and the ruins of a French hydroelectric power plant. Visitors can observe traditional crafts such as indigo dyeing, silver and gold jewelry making. Traditional music performances are regularly held in the village.
In spring, the village is immersed in greenery and flowers, while in autumn, the rice fields turn a golden hue. Avoid the rainy season unless you want to deal with slippery trails.
