What you need to know
The cable car holds world records for the longest three-rope system and elevation gain (over 1,410 meters). The cabins hold up to 35 people and ensure a comfortable ride even in strong winds. Upon arriving at Fansipan station, you can reach the peak itself (3,147 m) either on foot via stairs (about 700 steps) or by taking the additional funicular.
Important: Operating hours depend on the weather. It is recommended to visit early in the morning (from 08:00 to 09:30) to avoid peak queues and the fog that often descends on the summit after midday.
Best visibility and comfortable temperatures. In autumn, the valley looks especially stunning thanks to the golden rice terraces, while spring brings blooming rhododendrons.
