What you need to know
The slopes of Ham Rong Mountain are home to around 6,000 orchids, as well as hydrangeas, geraniums, and lilies. The park area is embellished with artificial waterfalls, stone terraces, and rock gardens. Convenient stone paths are laid out across the mountain, though the route involves a climb of over 150 meters.
The main viewpoint is located at an altitude of 1,800 meters, offering stunning views of the Muong Hoa Valley. At the cultural center within the park, traditional shows featuring national dances and songs are held several times a day.
Spring is the best time to visit: fruit trees are in bloom, covering the slopes in pink and white. Snow is possible in winter, and during the rainy season, the viewpoints are often hidden in fog.
