What you need to know
The complex is divided into two parts: the ancient pagoda founded in 1136 within mountain caves, and the modern ensemble built between 2003 and 2010. The scale is staggering, covering a total area of 539 hectares. It houses the largest bronze Buddha statue in Asia (100 tons), the tallest Buddhist stupa (99 m), and the longest Arhat corridor in Asia (3 km) featuring 500 unique stone sculptures. The building finishes showcase the country's finest craft traditions, from Ninh Van stone to exquisite Bat Trang ceramics.
