What you need to know
Bo Nau Grotto covers an area of about 200 sq. meters. The arch-shaped entrance (5-7 meters wide) leads into a space with a horizontal floor and vaulted ceilings. There is no artificial lighting or infrastructure inside, allowing the cave to preserve its pristine, wild appearance.
Two legends are associated with the cave's name: one states that thousands of pelicans sheltered here, while the other connects the name to "brown pigeons." Inside the grotto, you can see whimsical rock formations resembling fairy figures or people playing chess, as well as a central column serving as a natural support for the cave vault.
The most favorable time to visit the bay when the weather is ideal for boat trips. Avoid the strong winter winds and early autumn storm season.
