What you need to know
The temple's architecture is rich in symbolism: lotuses represent purity, and the 42 steps of the flagpole correspond to the number of pages in the Buddhist sutra. Key highlights include the 12-meter red wood reclining Buddha statue, a 21-meter glazed brick tower, and the unique 12-meter "Bat Nha" dragon boat.
The temple complex also features meditation caves carved into natural rock and a monumental bronze sculpture of the "Four Sacred Animals" (dragon, phoenix, turtle, and unicorn). Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Saigon River shipping channel and leave their wishes at the complex's bell tower.
The dry season with minimal rainfall. The ideal time to visit is early morning before 9:00 AM, when the temple is illuminated by the soft light of the rising sun and the air temperature is most comfortable.
