Hon Ba Island is a small, picturesque islet with an area of about 5,400 square meters, located 200 meters from the coast of Vung Tau. This place attracts tourists and pilgrims with its tranquility, spiritual atmosphere, and the unique opportunity to reach the temple across the sea floor during low tide.

What you need to know
The main attraction of the island is the Miếu Hòn Bà temple, built in 1881 in honor of the sea goddess Thủy Long. The temple houses the images of five goddesses representing the elements: Water, Fire, Earth, Wood, and Metal.
Visit features:
- Walking path: You can reach the island on foot only on the days of the new moon and full moon (14th-15th days of the lunar month) during low tide, when the rocky path is exposed. It is recommended to wear protective footwear due to sharp stones.
- Boat: On other days, the island can only be reached by rented boat from Back Beach (Bãi Sau).
- Safety: Swimming around the island is prohibited due to complex sea currents. There is no overnight accommodation infrastructure on the island; water and food must be brought in.
