The French Cannons are a unique historical site located on Nui Nho mountain. Installed in 1895, they represent a part of the colonial defensive heritage. What you need to know
Four majestic cannons, each over 10 meters long, were installed to control maritime routes within a 65-kilometer radius. Nearby stands the historic Hai Dang lighthouse, built in 1911 — an 18-meter-tall white cylinder that is still operational today.
The area is a comprehensive open-air museum: it preserves late 19th-century bunkers, underground tunnels connecting the lighthouse to the manager's house, and century-old water cisterns. The ascent to the mountain follows the picturesque asphalt Hai Dang Road, surrounded by greenery.
