What you need to know
The mountain reaches an altitude of 2,419 meters. The landscape transitions from mid-mountain to high-mountain evergreen forests, home to rare tree species such as Fujian cypress and Fokienia hodginsii.
The cultural value of the mountain is immense: it is considered sacred by local peoples, with legends connecting it to the La Chi King. Here you can see giant trees so wide that it takes seven people to encircle them, as well as visit Hmong villages located at altitudes of 1,600–1,800 meters.
The dry season offers the most favorable conditions. September to October delights with golden terraced rice fields, while January to February brings breathtaking cloud seas.
