Fairy Mountain (Nui Co Tien) consists of two nearly identical, symmetrical limestone elevations that have become a symbol of Ha Giang province. Located in the Quan Ba valley, they attract travelers with their unique shapes and deep ties to local folklore. In 2010, the complex was officially recognized as a national natural monument.

What to know
According to Hmong legend, these mountains are the breasts of the fairy Hoa Dao, who was forced to return to the heavens, leaving them behind to feed her child. It is believed that this fairy milk made the Quan Ba valley fertile and its climate unusually mild.
The mountains are best viewed from the observation deck near the Quan Ba Pass ("Heaven's Gate"). The path to the viewpoint takes less than 10 minutes via stairs. A small tower has been built here for visitors' convenience, offering the best panoramic view.
The best time to visit in terms of weather and visual aesthetics: the rice harvest paints the valley in golden colors, and the cool air creates mystical morning fogs.
