History
The Mother Memorial is a grand 15-hectare complex located atop Mount Cấm in Tam Kỳ city. It is a national place of worship dedicated to the memory of Nguyễn Thị Thứ and thousands of other Vietnamese mothers who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country's independence.

What you need to know
The complex was inaugurated in 2015 after 7 years of construction, designed by artist Đinh Gia Thắng. The central structure is an impressive granite monument 18.5 meters high and 120 meters long, shaped like a mother's embrace, symbolizing national unity and endless love.
Spanning 950 square meters, the museum houses thousands of exhibits: from wartime household items such as looms and rice-cooking pots to personal belongings of the heroic mothers. The complex holds the status of a "red address" and welcomes thousands of visitors annually, especially in July, when the country observes War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.
July is a time of national commemoration. During this period, the memorial becomes especially vibrant as thousands of veterans, locals, and tourists come to lay flowers and honor the heroes.
