The Kỳ Anh Tunnels are one of the three largest and most significant monuments of the resistance war against the US in Vietnam. What you need to know
Construction of the tunnels was carried out in strict secrecy from 1965 to 1967, exclusively at night. Local residents manually dug passages up to 0.8 meters wide and 10 meters deep, disguising the entrances in gardens and haystacks.
What to see:
- Restored sections: about 200 meters of tunnels are open to tourists, allowing you to experience underground living conditions.
- Museum exhibition: a traditional house with a collection of 160 artifacts and historical documents.
