What you need to know
The institution was established in 1989, and the modern museum building opened its doors to visitors on February 3, 2007. Today, the museum's collection encompasses over 20,000 exhibits and 6,500 archival documents. Among them, three national treasures stand out: gold jewelry from Tra Veo and Lam Thuong, a Cham Buddhist monk statue from Phu Hung, and pottery vessels from Long Thanh.
The expositions are divided into several zones covering the ancient Sa Huynh and Champa cultures, the folk traditions of the Kinh, Hre, Ca Dong, and Cor ethnic groups, as well as dramatic chapters of the province's revolutionary history.
