Located in a picturesque valley between the Trà Khúc and Phú Thọ rivers, this settlement played a key role in the region's maritime trade from the 1st to the 7th century AD, connecting Champa culture with the outside world.

Historical Heritage
The village of Cổ Luỹ stands as evidence of intense trade and cultural contacts of ancient Champa. Archaeological research conducted since the early 20th century has revealed two phases of settlement development and numerous artifacts: facing tiles with human faces, ceramics, and architectural elements that echo findings in Nanjing, China in style.
What to see
Today, authentic ruins can be seen at the top of Phú Thọ Hill: the foundations of once-mighty stone walls and chaotic granite outcrops. Since the site has not undergone full-scale restoration, it retains the pristine atmosphere of antiquity. The view from the hill over the valley and the coastline makes this spot an excellent viewpoint for observing a landscape shaped by history.
The dry season is the ideal time to visit. The weather is most favorable for walking the paths on the hill and examining the archaeological fragments.
