Truc Lam Ham Rong Monastery (Thiền viện Trúc Lâm Hàm Rồng) is an architectural and spiritual complex located on C4 Hill in the Ham Rong historical area. The monastery harmoniously combines Vietnamese Buddhist traditions with modern aesthetics, serving as a key center for meditation and spiritual tranquility in the region.

What you need to know
Built between 2010 and 2017, the monastery covers an area of 40,000 sq. m. and is part of the extensive Ham Rong historical and cultural complex. The complex includes 12 unique structures, among them the majestic Main Hall (Chính điện), the Ancestor Hall, a library, and a bell tower housing a 2.2-meter-tall bell.
The path to the monastery winds through a pine forest and culminates in a climb of several hundred stone steps, symbolizing a gradual detachment from worldly hustle and bustle. Of special significance is the pier on the Ma River, which offers a view of the historic Ham Rong Bridge built by the French in 1904.
During this period, the weather is most favorable for walking and climbing the hill. In summer, visiting the monastery in the early morning or evening hours is recommended to avoid the midday heat.
