Huynh Dao Temple is the largest Chinese community Buddhist temple in An Giang Province. Located at the foot of Sam Mountain in Chau Doc City, this complex impresses with its grand design, vibrant architecture, and serene atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination in the region.

What you need to know
Founded in 1928 by Buddhist devotee Ngo Van Sy, the temple underwent a long journey of development and was relocated to its current 12-hectare site in 1996. Construction of the complex, built in an authentic Chinese style, was completed only in 2018.
Main attractions:
- Chinh Dien (Main Temple): The heart of the complex, adorned with 18 white stone arhat statues.
- Long Hoa Pavilion: Located on the lake and topped with a roof featuring nine dragons.
- Quan Am Pavilion: A majestic monolithic stone structure dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, surrounded by a lotus pond.
- Shrine of the 33 Manifestations of Quan Am: A unique pavilion showcasing the Goddess's diverse forms.
- Ly Ngu Viet Long Mon Lake: A symbolic spot featuring an exquisite sculptural theme of a carp transforming into a dragon.
The dry season is ideal for walking around the complex grounds. It is recommended to arrive early in the morning when it opens to avoid the heat and heavy crowds of pilgrims.
