The temple is dedicated to the goddess of fertility and patron of business. According to legend, the ancient pinkish-red sandstone statue was found on the slopes of Sam Mountain about 200 years ago. Legend has it that only nine unmarried women were able to lift the heavy sculpture, and the current temple was erected at the exact spot where the statue "stopped" and became immovable. In December 2024, the temple festival was officially inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

The temple was rebuilt in 1972 in traditional East Asian style and features a characteristic jade-green glazed tile roof. The main hall houses an altar with the historical statue itself, presumed to date back to the 6th century.

Festival
The annual festival (held from the 22nd to the 27th day of the fourth lunar month) unites the deep beliefs of the Kinh, Khmer, Cham, and ethnic Chinese communities. It is a grand event featuring processions and rituals, demonstrating the region's incredible cultural cohesion.
The peak of the pilgrimage falls in the first four months of the lunar calendar. For an atmospheric visit, it is best to choose the festival period (May-June), while weekdays in the off-season are ideal for a quiet tour.
