Located in Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Museum is a public institution housing over 80,000 carefully collected artifacts. This place offers a deep dive into the region's history: from prehistoric times and the Oc Eo culture to the heroic pages of the struggle for national independence in the 20th century. Thanks to a harmonious combination of architecture, a picturesque park, and proximity to the river, the museum provides visitors with a calm and peaceful atmosphere to explore the country's cultural heritage.

What to know
The museum occupies a building in a mixed East-West style, opened in 2000. The exhibition is divided into several levels and zones:

First floor: dedicated to the nature, geography, religion, and traditional crafts of Dong Thap.

Second floor: covers the history of the wars against France and the USA, including over 300 documents and artifacts detailing the struggle for independence.

Outdoor area: displays large-scale wartime military equipment, including aircraft and artillery.

Complex of structures: the grounds preserve colonial-era buildings such as Dr. Lu's house, the district office (Dinh quận), and torture chambers, recalling the region's dramatic past.
The museum is in good condition and accessible to tourists in both high and low seasons. Working days: Tuesday through Sunday.
