History and Architecture
The temple was founded in 1857 on the initiative of Governor Ho Chong Dinh. In 1878, the building was relocated to Lý Thường Kiệt Street, where it stands to this day. The interior space is dedicated to Confucius and his four principal disciples. Of particular interest are the columns featuring traditional calligraphy and the side halls honoring the sage's 72 disciples.

From Decline to Monument
After a period of neglect during the war years, the building was restored and served as a library for a long time. Since April 2001, the temple has held the status of a provincial-level cultural and historical monument. Today, it is surrounded by a picturesque 4-hectare park (Công viên Văn Miếu), which has become a favorite spot for walks.
