About

History and Craftsmanship

Dong Ky village has a history of more than 300 years. Today, more than 2,000 businesses and family workshops operate here. Masters specialize in working with precious woods: rosewood, ebony, mahogany, and ironwood. The products are decorated with delicate carvings and inlaid with mother-of-pearl, turning the furniture into true works of art.

In addition to traditional methods, CNC machines and pneumatic tools are now actively used in the village, making it possible to combine the virtuosity of manual labor with high production precision. In the past, the village was famous for making firecrackers, and although this tradition has been banned, a festival is held here every January according to the lunar calendar, featuring huge decorative firecracker models decorated with images of dragons and phoenixes.
