The Cham Sculpture Museum is a landmark destination for exploring the region's history. Founded in 1915, this institution carefully preserves artifacts from the great Champa Empire. What you need to know
The museum's collection features over 300 sculptures in sandstone, bronze, and terracotta, dating from the 7th to the 15th centuries. The exhibition is distributed across 10 rooms reflecting the geographical origins of the artifacts, including major centers such as Mỹ Sơn and Trà Kiệu.
Among the exhibits, you will see statues of Hindu deities (Shiva, Vishnu, Ganesha, Brahma), depictions of mythical creatures, altar fragments, and details of ancient sanctuaries. The museum building itself is of architectural significance, designed in French colonial style with elements inspired by Cham motifs.
Recommendation: Visiting the museum is an excellent prelude to a trip to the Mỹ Sơn temple complex, helping to better understand the historical context of the monuments.
