Culture & History
The Tay Ninh Provincial Museum is a treasure trove of historical knowledge, housing over 40,000 exhibits across its grounds. Founded in 1980, the museum plays a key role in exploring the tangible and intangible values of the region, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the atmosphere from ancient civilizations to the periods of Vietnam's struggle for independence.

What you need to know
The main building of the museum is an example of early 20th-century French colonial architecture. The museum's collection is striking in its diversity:
- Ancient Cultures: A special place is held by the collection of Óc Eo culture artifacts (8th–9th centuries), including gold items with Sanskrit inscriptions from the Gò Xoài excavations and the statue of the god Vishnu from Gò Trâm Quỳ.
- Military Heritage: An extensive exhibition of items from the wars of independence is presented. Two American helicopters from the war era are exhibited on the museum grounds.
- Ethnography: Exhibitions dedicated to the daily life and traditional crafts of the ethnic groups inhabiting the province.
The museum also conducts active scientific research in cooperation with international institutions, participating in archaeological excavations in the region.
The museum is open daily except Sunday. For a comfortable visit, it is recommended to avoid the midday heat.
