History
The President Ton Duc Thang Memorial Complex is a place where revolutionary history meets the traditional Vietnamese way of life. Located on Ong Ho Island (Ông Hổ), the complex allows visitors to trace the national leader's journey from a humble childhood in a rural home to his state activities, which became a symbol of national reunification.

What you need to know
The complex was officially recognized as a historical site in 1984, and in 2012 it received the status of a National Special Historic Site. Spanning an area of about 3,100 m², the complex includes a park, an exotic tree garden, and important historical landmarks:
- Wooden stilt house: Built in 1887, this is the house where the president spent his childhood. It retains the original interiors and family's personal belongings.
- Memorial temple: A monumental structure built in 1998 featuring a bronze bust of the leader.
- Exhibition buildings: Galleries housing about 16,500 artifacts, documents, and photographs.
- Yak-40 aircraft (No. 452): A symbol of the reunification era, which Ton Duc Thang used to arrive in Saigon in 1975.
- "Giai Phong" motorboat: A commemorative motorboat symbolizing the president's return from imprisonment on Con Dao Island.
