What you need to know
Quang Te Pagoda is a significant center of spiritual life in the region. Its architecture is typical of Southern Vietnam: curved tiled roofs and a spacious main hall (chánh điện) decorated in solemn red tones. Inside the temple are revered figures: Shakyamuni Buddha, Bodhisattvas Manjushri and Samantabhadra, as well as a statue of Avalokiteshvara embodying compassion.
The temple grounds feature a well-maintained landscape with moss-covered shaded paths and a bonsai collection. Thanks to its hillside location, it offers panoramic views of the Mekong Delta fields, making this place ideal for meditation and contemplation.
The dry season features the most comfortable temperatures for walking around the pagoda grounds. We recommend visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon to enjoy the silence.
