The Hội An Museum of History and Culture is a specialized space housing over 12,000 historical artifacts. It is an ideal place for those who want to deeply understand the city's evolution: from the ancient trading port of Champapura to a flourishing merchant center during the Đại Việt and Đại Nam dynastic eras.

What you need to know
The modern museum building, opened in 2015, is divided into thematic zones. The ground floor features a unique collection of Chu Đậu (15th–16th centuries) and Bát Tràng ceramics discovered during excavations in the region. The second floor is dedicated to the chronological history of the city: here you will see stone sculptures, ancient royal decrees, bronze items, and woodwork by artisans from Kim Bồng village. A special bonus is the rooftop terrace, which offers a panoramic view of the Old Town. The museum successfully underwent a major renovation in 2019.
The museum is open daily, except Sundays and the 25th of every month. Visiting during morning hours is recommended.
