What you need to know
The tunnel system in the Cu Chi area began forming in the late 1950s. By 1965, the total length of the passages reached 250 kilometers. Inside the complex, command centers, medical bunkers, kitchens, and living quarters for guerrillas were organized. Today, the complex is open to visitors and offers a deep dive into the history of the guerrilla resistance.
Also in Ho Chi Minh City, at 87A Tran Ke Xuong Street (87A Trần Kế Xương, Ward 7, Phu Nhuan District), the headquarters of the liaison mission (1955–1958) has been preserved and is recognized as a national historical monument.
