What you need to know
The museum is located along National Route 1A, making it a convenient stop when traveling from Hanoi. The main exhibition is divided into three key sections:
Ancient periods:
A collection of bronze jars and tools from the pre-Dong Son and Dong Son cultures.
Northern domination period:
Artifacts (1st–10th centuries) demonstrating cultural exchange.
Independent feudalism:
A unique collection of Ly dynasty ceramics with characteristic patterns.
Starting in March 2025, the museum also serves as the starting point for weekly free tours of the province's cultural heritage (every weekend at 8:00 AM).
Autumn is considered the optimal time to visit due to comfortable temperatures and clear skies. Spring (February–April) is also quite pleasant at the museum.
