Dai Bai Village is a living embodiment of Vietnam's craft traditions. Since the early 11th century, the secrets of working with bronze and copper, passed down by master Nguyen Cong Tuyen, have been carefully preserved here. A visit to this village is an opportunity to witness the hard work of artisans who still work with molten metal at extreme temperatures, and to experience an art recognized as a national intangible heritage.

What you need to know
Dai Bai is not a museum, but a functioning working settlement. The village's history spans over a millennium, with its heyday in the 16th century when local artisans supplied the royal court. Production here is organized by specializations among five hamlets: from making ritual incense burners and gongs to kitchen utensils.
Today, 8 national-level masters live and work here, and their products are exported to Japan, Korea, and the EU. During your walk, you can see the main stages of product creation: from raw material smelting to fine artistic chasing. Important sights include the Dien Phuc Pagoda and the mausoleum of the craft's founder, master Nguyen Cong Tuyen.
