Xuan Lan Temple was founded in the late 18th century and is rightfully considered one of the oldest religious structures in the region. Since 1999, the site has been officially recognized as a national monument of Vietnam.
The temple's geographical location in Hải Xuân village gives it special significance: it is located just 3 km from the state border with China. This makes it an important cultural hub where the spiritual traditions and architectural canons of Buddhism from many generations are carefully preserved.
