The Mong Cai Monument, officially known as the Sa Vi Border Information Propaganda Cluster, is an iconic architectural complex marking the starting point of Vietnam's coastline. Located at Sa Vi Cape, it combines monumental art, historical memory, and developed tourist infrastructure, offering visitors a unique view of the border with China and the majesty of the Vietnamese coast.

What you need to know
The complex, whose construction was completed in 2013, is the pride of Quang Ninh province. Its architecture is impressive: eight 27-meter-high concrete feathers symbolize the three eagles from To Huu's poem, embodying the courage of the people. The base is decorated with a ceramic mosaic featuring the Ngoc Lu drum pattern.
This is home to the "zero kilometer" — the starting point of the country's 3,260-kilometer coastline all the way to Cape Ca Mau. Visitors have access to binoculars to view neighboring China, bicycle rentals, a 5D cinema, and the opportunity to try on traditional ethnic costumes. The place is especially popular for walks in clear weather and evening visits thanks to spectacular artistic lighting.
