Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda is an outstanding architectural monument combining elements of the Cambodian style (reminiscent of Angkor Wat), oriental traditions, as well as European Renaissance and Romanticism. Founded in 1849, today it serves as an active spiritual center, drawing pilgrims and history enthusiasts from all over Vietnam.

What you need to know
The complex spans 20,000 m² and includes five buildings, two gardens, and 178 pillars. Inside the main building are halls finished with precious ebony wood, where the Buddha's teachings are inscribed in golden letters on the pillars.

- Laughing Buddha: A monumental 24-meter-tall statue installed in 2007.
- Amitabha Statue: The main altar, adorned with intricate wood carvings of dragons and mythical creatures.
- Historic Bell of 1854: A heavy cast-iron relic bearing witness to the pagoda's rich past.
- Collection: 60 arhat sculptures and 20 rare landscape paintings.
