What you need to know
The lighthouse was put into operation in 1962. Its height from the base is 18 meters, and the light center is 84.5 meters above sea level. The structure is built in the style of French classical architecture: a white cylindrical tower and living quarters, connected by a corridor, harmoniously blend into the surrounding landscape.
The lighthouse's light signal, with a 360-degree coverage and a range of up to 20.7 nautical miles, operates today both from the national grid and from solar panels. The path to the lighthouse from the center of the island is about 6 kilometers through picturesque locations. The summit offers magnificent views of Đầu Đông beach and the legendary Cape Sa Vĩ — the starting point of Vietnam's S-shaped coastline.
A favorable season for visiting the island. In windy weather, it is recommended to choose speedboats with protective curtains.
