Sro Loun Pagoda, also known as "Cham Kieu", is a striking example of architectural creativity and resourcefulness. Built in 1815, it became a true work of art thanks to local residents who, during reconstruction, donated their household porcelain items to tile the temple walls. This place is an important center of Theravada Buddhism and the spiritual life of the regional Khmer community.

What you need to know
The name "Cham Kieu" literally translates as "Bowl Pagoda". The main feature of the interior and exterior is the use of ceramics: from whole cups forming railings and columns, to shards arranged into delicate geometric and floral patterns.
What to see:
- Main Hall: 16 massive columns with traditional Khmer carvings.
- Murals: The walls are painted with scenes from the life of Gautama Buddha.
- Sculptures: The tops of the columns are adorned with figures of the goddess Kaynor with outstretched wings.
- Exhibition: Inside the temple, there is a collection of woodwork and other items of Buddhist art.
Visiting the pagoda is not only an aesthetic pleasure, but also an opportunity to experience Khmer culture, traditions, and Sanskrit heritage.
